SUMMER TRIAL
Our summer trial is always a laid back affair, long days, usually warm, but a great way to start the season. We also include the annual Grouse & Woodcock Hunting Dog Classic, a non-sanctioned, fun event intended for hunters and their hunting dogs; to introduce these folks to the sport we love on the grounds that we all call our own. If you have never been to or ran on the renowned Gladwin Field Trial Area it's time to make the trip. This dedicated field trial grounds started in 1916, 95 years back and it continues to be the premier grouse trial grounds in the nation.
Saturday night the club hosts a cookout and provides a main dish. We ask folks to bring something to pass. We always have a nice turnout and all are welcome, participants and onlookers alike. Bring the kids, they can walk the braces and see their buddy compete in the classic.
I'll post more details as we get closer to the event. There are links on this page for directions and maps. Write me if you have specific questions.
